Jimbee Cartagena makes history again in Spanish Sala. The Cartagena team was proclaimed league champion for the second consecutive year, signing a dream season that consolidates the club among the elite. One of the great protagonists was, of course, Gabriel Mota, the italo-Brazilian who has left his stamp in the championship… and in the recent history of the club.
Speaking after the party, Mota did not hide his euphoria. He remembered that in just 17 months, the team had raised four titles, but went further: “We have six medals in two years”he affirmed, including those of gold, silver and even a European bronze, which, in his words, “is not to throw away.”

The wing recognized that neither in his best dreams would have imagined such a boot when he arrived in Cartagena. “We are here again,” he celebrated with a smile from ear to ear, while putting the focus on the pride he felt for the team and his people. “This year there were doubts about whether the fans were from Jimbee or Barça … But there is no greater illusion than winning the league, the best world championship, ”he said.
On the bench, Mota was clear: his confidence in the Mr. is total. “He is the coach who brought me to Spain,” he confessed, adding that after a first year of adaptation, he has lived “three years of motherfucker.” The data is not less: according to the player himself, he has already reached 100 goals in the League under his direction. “Believe a lot in me”he insisted, and then close resounding: “For me, he is the best coach.”
An incredible feat
And if there was any questions about the ambition of Jimbee, Mota left him crystalline. The team is not formed. “We are going for the third, 100%,” he said, with an eye on the next season. Of course, he did not want to subtract merit to the path traveled. “It has not been easy in either of the two years”he admitted. And, although they changed the rival in the final – the Barça this year, after the previous season – the Cartagenero club achieved an unprecedented deed: winning the great three on the way to the title.
Barça arrived with three leagues in a row in his pocket, but the Jimbee not only cut the streak, but buried it. “This had never happened”celebrated Mota, visibly excited. And Europe? The stuck spine is still there. The wing recognized that the objective of the next campaign will be clear: the Champions League. “We had the taste of being,” he said, “and it shows that we want to be again.”
Mota said goodbye between hugs and songs, with a clear message: Cartagena does not conform to what was achieved. Hunger is still intact. And if this team has demonstrated something, it does not understand limits.
