The former WWE president, Vince McMahon, often tried to create the next Undertaker while still in charge of creativity. Exluchador EC3 has affirmed that McMahon saw the sparkles of The Undertaker in the AEW star, Malakai Black.
Malakai Black, then known as Aleister Black, debuted at WWE's main roster in 2019 after having a great NXT performance. Black had some filling fighting against improvement talents and then had a great rivalry with Cesaro (also known as Claudio Castagnoli). Black also had some of his best fighting against Buddy Murphy. However, its creative management suffered a lot by entering 2020. WWE came to broadcast some promotional videos for its long -awaited return in 2021. After returning in an episode of Smackdown in May, Black was surprisingly fired by the company.
In the recent Pódcast episode The Wrestling OutlawsEC3 talked about how Malakai Black's character in NXT worked thanks to Triple H presented it properly. WWE former Luchador pointed out that Black's creative direction suffered once he moved to the main roster, since Vince McMahon apparently did not understand his character. EC3 said McMahon thought of Black as if he were The Undertaker, which eventually led to his fall.
“If I can intervene quickly, it would be like, it worked in NXT with triple H where they treated him that way. That was the time when things shot up and then came to their hands. If he saw a parallel with someone who perhaps looked like one of his legacies, maybe The Undertaker who came out of things like totally different acts, but for Vince and his socio -socio -mind, probably only saw that he was understood. “
He continued saying:
“So I think that was the problem with WWE. And then, once that is a minor place for him, it's just another boy and then he is working with me in a main event of six minutes of garbage.” (5:22 – 6:12)
The former Wwe Malakai Blacklucerr has apparently left AEW
In 2021, Malakai Black caused a great impact after his debut on All Elite Wrestling. He was put in a rivalry with Cody Rhodes and destroyed The American Nightmare. Black would then form The House of Black with Buddy Matthews, Brody King and Julia Hart, winning the AEW World Championship.
However, many wondered why Malakai never won an individual title in the promotion and had very limited individual fighting. Some recent reports have also revealed that Malakai Black has ended with All Elite Wrestling and is expected to return to WWE.
Fans will have to wait and see if Malakai Black returns to the company based in Stamford in the coming months.
