The AEW led by Tony Khan lost one of its main stars against WWE a few years ago. The talent left All Elite Wrestling citing personal reasons, but recent reports suggest that there were problems with the president of the company.
Cody Rhodes is WWE's current undisputed champion. Before signing with the global giant, Rhodes helped establish the Bases of AEW as one of the executive vice presidents with Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks. In February 2022, he surprised the world by leaving AEW after a successful four -year career.
It was reported that he had some personal problems that apparently influenced his decision to separate from the Jacksonville -based company. Later, fans discovered that both parties failed to reach an agreement on a new contract.
A fan in X/Twitter wanted to know the true story behind the output of Cody Rhodes of AEW. In response to the tweet, wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer recently said that Rhodes left Jacksonville's promotion due to problems with Tony Khan. He also mentioned that both promised to maintain this matter secret to the public.
Dave Meltzer revealed more details about the exit of The American Nightmare while responding to another fan on Twitter.
“He worked a fight 26 days after his contract expired while negotiating a new agreement that, at first, both parties believed that it would be completed, but Vince McMahon heard that he was free agent and flew personally to Atlanta to make an offer to change the side,” added Meltzer.
Bill Apter believes that Tony Khan plans to launch a new program
In UnSKriptedthe journalist of the Fame Bill Apter Hall said that AEW could be planning to launch a new program similar to one of WWE. However, Apter added that this space could be assigned to a Roh program.
