Cody Rhodes captured the WWE undisputed championship in WrestleMania 40. Wrestling veteran Jonathan Coachman now suggests that The American Nightmare could lose the title against a super star in three months.
John Cena started his farewell tour last Monday during RAW's premiere in Netflix. The Cenation leader recognized his streak of individual defeats, stating that it would be almost impossible for his seventeenth world championship based on that. However, he pointed out that he could have the opportunity to break his historical record and that of Ric Flair winning the male rumble this year.
In “The Coach & Bro Show,” Coachman outlined a plan for the dinner farewell tour. He suggested that the 47 -year -old fighter challenges Rhodes for the WWE undisputed championship and dethrone:
“For me, you have a couple of fighting where you say: 'Hey, I need to take the ring rust', then you put it in an event to see, and then you spend two months building a fight for the world championship. God, I hope it is not against Gunther, but it could be. Honestly, I think it will be against Cody Rhodes. That would be three,” he said.
Raw's former interim general manager proposed that Cena lose the title in Summerslam, has some other important fighting, and then fights his farewell fight against an opponent of his choice in Survivor Series:
“And then, during the summer, when the assistance always goes down, (…) is when you do most of their fighting, so that people tune in. And then you go to Summerslam, lose the title. And then you have two or three bigger fights and the farewell combat against whoever he wants to be in Survivor Series,” Coachman added. (58:36 – 59:18)
WWE Analyst Peter Rosenberg suggested a different scenario for John Cena
In his podcast “Cheap Heat”, the WWE analyst Peter Rosenberg addressed the possibility that John Cena wins his seventeenth world championship. The former champion 24/7 predicted that the Cenation leader will achieve that goal before retiring.
Meanwhile, Rosenberg proposed a scenario in which the 47 -year -old fighter ends with Gunther's reign as a heavyweight champion before losing the title against Jey use:
“I mean, it depends if dinner ends up facing Gunther, right? If dinner gets it from Gunther, I don't know, is there a world in which Jey could take it off to dinner?” said.
The 45 -year -old WWE analyst thinks just like John Cena's father, who does not believe that his son will measure Cody Rhodes in Wrestlemania.
