This afternoon, during the Premium Night of Champions 2025 event held from Riad, Saudi Arabia, we saw a great fight between two great legends of WWE: Cody Rhodes beat Randy Orton to become the winner of the King of the Ring 2025, the king of ring 2025.
Both engaged in a Réferi shot to start the fight, but Rhodes quickly connected a blow and followed him with a bulldog. He tried the coverage, but Orton was saved in two. Then, Orton surprised Rhodes with a superpléx from the corner, but Cody responded with a Disaster Kick and tried again the touch on his back, without success.

Orton made Rhodes bounce hard on his thigh and then Cody used the ring post to punish his back, applying pressure on his column. Orton reacted with a couple of ties around his neck and a Powerslam scoop that changed the pace of the encounter.
Rhodes took the lead again with a right -handed back and a denucator. From the corner connected the Cody Cutter. Orton responded with his classic DDT with the help of the ropes and prepared the RKO, but Rhodes reversed him with a cross Rhodes and covered. Orton managed to survive.
Orton connected a clean RKO and was on account, but Rhodes resisted once more. Then Cody applied a crosshead, but Orton reversed it on a type crossing figure eight. Rhodes managed to invest it briefly again at the crosshead, but Orton reached the lower rope to break the key.
Both exchanged right until Rhodes tried a new Disaster Kick, but Orton intercepted it with a second RKO. It was because of the count, but Coldy was released right in time.
Orton left the ring, took a chair from the chronometer area and put it to the quadrilateral, but the referee snatched it. While the referee was undone of the object, Orton removed the protection of the upper corner. He tried to launch Rhodes against him, but Cody blocked him and it was Orton who crashed with the armpit against the exposed metal.
With Orton stunned, Rhodes took advantage and applied a second Cross Rhodes to obtain the victory on behalf of three.
After the fight, Cody Rhodes was crowned as king of the ring by the general managers of SmackDown and Raw, Nick Aldis and Adam Pearce, respectively. Then, Byron Saxton went up to the ring to interview him and congratulated him, asking him about his titular opportunity in Summerslam.
Rhodes thanked Randy Orton, stating that he has a deep respect for the man who was his mentor and that he always supported him. He said he is aware of what people feel when they see him face names like Jey use and Randy Orton, and That now in Summerslam it will be measured against CM Punk or John Cena.
Rhodes declared that he was born for this and that the champion is only holding that title for him. He closed saying that in Summerslam, he will recover the ball and take what belongs to him.
