Wcw's invasion to WWE began when Lance Storm overlapped others in a sudden input and output of the ring. However, the interest of fans vanished when Vince McMahon failed to include great names such as Hulk Hogan and Sting in history.

In a recent edition of What Were They Thinking?JBL explained why the invasion angle suffered even though it began strongly at the WWE.

“The problem with the WCW return was that we did not get to Scott (Hall) and Kevin (Nash). We did not get to Goldberg, we did not get to Bischoff, we did not get Hogan. These boys had contracts. So we obtained some great stars. We got a twice member of the Hall of Fame, who is one of my dear friends, Booker T. DDP and a lot of other great talents.

Continuous:

“It is a slightly diluted version of what people expected because, when they expected the WCW, they loved one of those guys who had been in front of each show during the age of attitude, you know, of the NWO … and Bischoff and all those boys who formed that great faction.” (From 02:36 onwards)

Speaking of Eric Bischoff, the former general manager of RAW appeared in an episode of WWE NXT in December. It remains to be seen if Bischoff appears in Raw's debut in Netflix.
