After months of waiting, Tiffany Stratton has won the gold after activating his Money in the Bank a briefcase after Nia Jax defending her championship successfully in the January 3 episode of WWE SmackDown.
Jax defended the title against Naomi previously in the episode of November 15 by WWE SmackDown and this was the rematch. In recent weeks, Naomi has formed team with Bianca Belair and has occupied Jade Cargill's place as co-titular of the WWE women's championship.
They were accompanied to the ring by Candice Lerae and Belair, respectively. Nia Jax dominated Naomi and knocked her down. Naomi recovered and trampled Jax. He applied a Leg-Drop for a two account. Naomi continued rolling with a Dive outward. He shook Jax with a kick and knocked her down with a Samoan Drop. Jax turned on and applied a Leg-Drop Dive for a nearby account. Naomi persevered and applied a DDT tornado.
Then he hit Jax against the strings. The challenger continued to throw everything he had to Jax. Lerae tried to interfere, but Belair took her out. Jax knocked down Belair in the ringside and pushed her against the steel steps. Then, Naomi countered with a Powerslam from the upper rope. Tiffany Stratton ran and mocked his Money in the Bank briefcase, but it was a trick, since he hit Naomi with the briefcase. Jax then connected the Annihilator for victory.
After the bell, Tiffany Stratton enters the ring and hit Jax with the Money in the Bank briefcase. Belair then hit Jax with the Kod. Stratton took Belair and charged his briefcase officially. Then he applied the prettiest Monsault for victory. In doing so, he won the WWE Women's Championship.
