The countdown is almost over since WWE begins a new chapter with Netflix at the beginning of the new year. RAW will be broadcast on the streaming platform from January 6. The company will begin to transfer all its programming there after that.
2025 will bring an exciting new era with unlimited possibilities. Superstar like Cody Rhodes, Gunther and Bron Breakker are just some of the names that will lead the load in the new year with championships in hand. However, many others will also look for their chance.
This is our list of 5 WWE superstars that must finish their championship drought in 2025:
#5. Three times champion of the United States Sheamus
After settling in the European wrestling scene, Sheamus got his great opportunity in 2006 when he signed with WWE. In 2009, Sheamus reached the top winning his first championship in the TLC event by defeating John Cena in a table fight. It should also be noted that he has been champion of the United States and couples champion on multiple occasions.
Sheamus suffered an injury last September and was out for several months. He returned last April but was strongly criticized by fans who suggested that he was not fit. Sheamus reacted by putting himself phenomenal and has recently been pointing to the intercontinental title. The last time Sheamus won a title was several years ago in Wrestlemania 37, when he won the United States championship.
#4. The 3 -time United States champion AJ Styles
Before signing with WWE, AJ Styles was probably the most prominent free agent in the world. He won important titles in TNA, Roh and Japan. When rumors began to circulate about the arrival of Styles to WWE, fans were excited about the possibility of obtaining someone who once seemed unattainable.
Aj Styles surprised the world when he debuted as the third participant in the Royal Rumble of 2016. He quickly ascended to WWE's top, becoming a triple crown champion and Grand Slam. The last time AJ had a title was during his time with omos. Together they won the couples titles in Wrestlemania 37.
#3. 15 times female champion Charlotte Flair
It has been more than a year since the last time we saw the queen of professional wrestling, Charlotte Flair. He has been out since last December, recovering from an anterior crossed, medial and meniscus ligament break. There have not been many news about a timeline for their return, but rumors have begun to circulate on their return date.
Charlotte began his career in WWE for a time when the company was restructuring the development process, just before the birth of the female revolution, which changed the landscape of the division. Charlotte has accumulated many titles, but it has been a while since he had a championship. His last reign was a couple of years ago when he defeated Ronda Rousey for SmackDown's female title.
#2. 5 times wwe cm punk champion
When CM Punk announced that he had ended with WWE in 2014, no one expected to see him return. His relationship with the company was unhealthy, and it was better for all involved to move away. But after spending time at AEW, Second City Saint returned to WWE at the Survivor Series event: Wargames of 2023.
It has been a long time since CM Punk held a championship. His last title in WWE was in 2011 when he defeated Alberto del Rio in Survivor Series. Punk maintained WWE's title for more than 400 days before losing it to The Rock in the 2013 Royal Rumble.
#1. 16 times John Cena champion
After 25 years of effort, loyalty and respect, John Cena is hanging the “Jorts” forever while his farewell tour “The Last Time Is Now” begins soon. Cena made the announcement in Money in the Bank that he retired, and that 2025 will be his last “Hurra.”
Throughout his legendary career, John Cena has won many titles and has made his way to the discussion to be considered one of the greatest of all time. Dinner has a long list of achievements in his name, but it has been a long time since he won some type of title. His last victory in a championship was almost a decade ago when he won the title of the United States.
