2024 was a great year for WWE, and much of the credit is due to the company's CCO, Triple H, and the entire creative team. In addition to a remarkable improvement in the quality of the product, the company has managed several of the great stars of its roster very well.
Fans should expect WWE to keep the impulse in the new year. As in 2024, next year it could bring several new developments that could even change the promotion panorama forever.
In that sense, here there are four bold predictions for WWE in 2025:
#4. John Cena could win his 17th world title
John Cena is one of the greatest names in the history of professional wrestling. The Cenation leader, who is sixteen world champion, will retire from competition in the ring in 2025. However, before that, he could look for another reign as WWE champion.
The creative team could make the Royal Rumble 2025 win, leading it to challenge for the world title in Wrestlemania 41. If that is the case, Cena could make history by winning that elusive 17th world title and breaking the record of Ric Flair.
#3. Roman Reigns could add your team to your team
Lance Anoa'i, a real member of the Bloodline, supposedly signed with WWE a while ago. Although it was rumored that it would debut after Survivor Series, that did not happen. That said, the company could be planning its return to RAW in Netflix.
As fans should know, Roman Reigns will face only Sikoa in Tribal Combat during RAW's debut in Netflix. However, The New Bloodline is expected to interfere with combat. Given that, Roman Reigns could have a secret weapon to face the faction led by only Sikoa.
The OTC could make an anciento'i debute during combat to help him balance the probabilities against The Bloodline led by only Sikoa.
#2. Roman Reigns could meet with Seth Rollins
Roman Reigns has failed to be on the same page with Seth Rollins in the recent past. However, an impressive turn of the events could see the old brothers of The Shield gather in 2025.
As fans should know, it is rumored that The Rock will return soon to take command as the New Bloodline leader. This possible angle could lead to a great rivalry between The Final Boss and The OTC.
If so, I could try to repair their relationship with his former companion of The Shield, Seth Rollins, to fight the Bloodline of The Rock. Given Rollins's aversion to The High Chief, it would make sense that The Visionary made peace with The Original Tribal Chief, which would lead to a partial meeting of The Shield.
#1. Five WWE superstars could withdraw
As mentioned earlier, John Cena will end his career in 2025. However, it might not be the only name to retire next year. In addition to the Cenation leader, four other names could say goodbye to their illustrious races.
Rey Mysterio and AJ Styles have previously hinted at their retreats several times. Over the years and the constant trip, fans could see them for the last time in 2025.
Another potential name in the retreat list could be Brock Lesnar. The Beast has been in a pause since August 2023. However, I could finally return for a last race in the new year.
In addition to that, The Rock could also end his career after possible fighting against Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes on WWE next year.
