Cody Rhodes defended his WWE undisputed championship against Kevin Owens last night at Saturday Night's Main Event. The special event took place at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Long Island, New York.

Rhodes arrived at the ring with the title Winged Eagle last night. The American dream retained the championship after applying a Cross Rhodes on a steel chair. After the fight, Owens attacked Rhodes and applied a Piledriver package, which caused the champion to leave the sand in an ambulance.

Below are four reasons why Cody Rhodes was withdrawn from the WWE television by Kevin Owens.

#4. WWE's undisputed champion, Cody Rhodes, could have requested free time

Cody Rhodes has been the company's battle horse since it became WWE undisputed champion. The 39 -year -old fighter captured the title by defeating Roman Reigns in Wrestlemania XL and has been champion for 251 days so far.

The former AEW star may have requested free time for parties and could be planning her return next month. Kevin Owens attacked Randy Orton with a Piledriver in the November 8 edition of Smackdown, and The Viper has not returned to television since then. Rhodes could take a few weeks free and return next month to take revenge on Owens.

#3. The company could have other plans for Owens

Triple H confronted Kevin Owens after he attacked Cody Rhodes at the end of Saturday Night's Main Event. The Game and Owens were pushed during a heated exchange on the entrance ramp.

The WWE could be planning that Triple H returns to the ring for a last fight or participate in history as a character on the screen. The King of Kings has history with Owens, since it helped him become universal champion in 2016. The content director could be disgusted with Kevin Owens, and the two stars could enter a rivalry that leads to a fight in Wrestlemania 41 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

#2. Randy Orton could soon return to WWE SMackDOWN

Randy Orton has not been seen since he was brutally attacked by Kevin Owens last month at SmackDown. The Legend Killer could be ready to return to action soon, and the company decided to withdraw Cody Rhodes from television so that fans can focus on the rivalry between Owens and Orton for the moment.

The Viper could return to SmackDown in the coming weeks and aim at the former NXT champion. Owens and Orton could then lead the next Saturday Night's Main Event on January 25, 2025.

#1. Cody Rhodes could return with a new attitude

Kevin Owens's attack to Cody Rhodes after Saturday Night's Main Event will probably cause WWE to be absent for a while. Rhodes was taken from the sand on a stretcher while a dismayed crowd watched.

Rhodes could return in the coming weeks with a new attitude. The veteran could return to Smackdown obsessed with revenge from Owens. Randy Orton has the same goal, which could generate a conflict between the two stars.

Owens could suggest that the only way I would enter the ring with any of the stars would be if Rhodes puts the title at stake in a triple threat struggle. There are no disqualifications in a triple threat fight, and the Canadian star could win the title without even defeating The American Nightmare.
