AEW's executive director Tony Khan recently appointed the victory for Bryan Danielson's world title in AEW All in as his favorite moment in the history of professional wrestling. However, where is that moment for Danielson in his personal career?
During a recent interview with Denise Salcedo, Danielson revealed that he also has it on a high pedestal.
“If you look at things from a broader perspective, there was my favorite moment in my fighter career, fighting Swerve (Strickland), which is there,” Danielson mentioned while talking about his mutual joy to fight in smaller and bigger environments. “So there will be incredible next year, but I also love those intimate places.”
When asked about the thoughts that were around his head after dethroning Swerve Strickland at the Wembley Stadium in London in All In, Danielson admitted that there was a whirlwind of them. However, in general, he was very excited to share the moment with his family and friends, who had been observing from the ringside.
“For the most part, I only tried to absorb the sensation,” said Danielson, “and the idea that this is happening with my children and this is happening with my wife and this is happening with my friends or former friends. It is really great and really special. It is something that I will treasure for the rest of my life. My daughter, when we reach the back, said: 'This is the best day of my life.'”
The subsequent reign of the Danielson AEW World Championship saw him successfully defending the title against people like Jack Perry and Kazuchika Okada before losing him to Jon Moxley in Aew Wrestledream.
