A massive error occurred during a fight at WWE SmackDown tonight. The referee did not tell a Pinfall.
Fraxiom has been one of the most entertaining couples teams on WWE NXT in recent years. The duo won the NXT couples championship twice, with its second reign lasting 230 days. After a successful stage in the black and silver brand, Fraxiom was promoted to the main roster after Wrestlemania 41, where they made their debut in SmackDown last week against the Garza. Fraxiom managed to obtain victory against the Garza.
Tonight in the blue brand, Nathan Frazer and Axiom were scheduled to face Pretty Deadly in another couples fight. Before the fight, Fraxiom was interviewed after racks by Byron Saxton, where they expressed their emotion for being in SmackDown. They were interrupted by Pretty Deadly, who told them they wanted to discover how good they were.
The fight soon became controversial after Nathan Frazer executed a standing Shooting Star Press on Elton Prince and went for the pin. However, the referee did not tell Pinfall even though Prince's shoulders were on the canvas. Fans booed this mistake. Despite this, Fraxiom was able to overcome this setback and achieve victory over Pretty Deadly.
It will be interesting to see if Fraxiom can win the WWE Couples Championship in the future.
