Last night at WWE RAW, Adam Pearce made a historical announcement by presenting the new female intercontinental championship. Among many female stars of the division, Asuka hinted that he could get the women's intercontinental championship if he returned to the company.
The last fight in the Empress of the Tomorrow Empress was in Backlash 2024 in May. She and Kairi Sane lost the WWE women's championship against Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair in the Premium live event in France.
Asuka has been out of action in the ring since she lost the fight due to an unfortunate knee injury. So far, there is no exact date for the return of the 43 -year -old veteran.
However, things could change soon. Shortly after WWE announced the Women's Intercontinental Championship, Asuka expressed interest in the new title in X (formerly Twitter).

The WWE champion says he can't wait for Asuka's return
Since half of the Kabuki Warriors hinted that he would look for the female intercontinental championship, fans can wait for his return soon or later. Meanwhile, Nia Jax looks forward to a fight with Asuka.
The last time The Empresas of Tomorrow and The Irresistible Force faced each other in an individual combat in the episode of November 9, 2020 by Monday Night Raw. The confrontation ended in disqualification.
In an interview with The weekthe current WWE female champion recognized Asuka as one of her toughest opponents, praising her strength and explosiveness. Nia Jax said she is anxious for future meetings with Damage Ctrl member upon her return.
“One of my hardest opponents has been Asa… it is incredibly strong and explosive. It is definitely a hard opponent. I love getting into the ring with her, I love working with her. I can't wait for him to return. I hope we face face to face, but Asuka is one of my most hard opponents,” he said.
Fans will have to wait and see if the Empress of tomorrow will return soon and potentially will become the female intercontinental champion.
