The WWE CM Punk star is one of the most popular Babyfaces in the company. He returned in Survivor Series: Wargames last year and has been with the RAW brand since then.
The last time Punk faced Drew McIntyre was in a brutal fight Hell in a Cell in Bad Blood. Second City Saint won the fight, ending the fighting trilogy against The Scottish Warrior. In the next RAW, the worldwide multi -champion said that the encounter had affected his body and needed a rest time.
This week, in Legion of RAW From Sportskeeda Wrestling, former WWE writer Vince Russo spoke about the possibility of Punk receiving an opportunity for the title against Gunther. The fight did not seem to care, citing the age of The Best in the World. Russo was not interested in seeing Punk, 46, facing The General Ring.
“How old is CM Punk? Do I care CM Punk Vs. Gunther? Do I care 46 -year -old man against Gunther? He is pathetic, brother. All this is pathetic.” (From the 10:50 minute onwards)
Although a struggle with punk can be on the horizon, Gunther currently needs to focus on Damian Priest. The infamy goalkeeper has proven to be a true threat to the Austrian Anomaly World Heavyweight Championship. The two stars will collide in Survivor Series in a great confrontation for gold.
