Nick AldisNick Aldis

Nick Aldis began working for World Wrestling Entertainment last year after finishing his commitments to TNA/Impact Wrestling. Aldis had lost the world title of Impact against Alex Shelley at Impact Slamivary and worked on some television recordings in the summer of 2023.

His first role in WWE was as a producer behind the scenes, which was a test. In October, the WWE CCO, Triple H, presented Aldis at SmackDown as general manager of the brand. Since then, he has worked for the company exclusively in these two roles.

During an interview with Chris van Vliet in his podcast INSIGHTNick Aldis was asked if he is at peace with the race he has had in the ring so far. The SmackDown sheriff admitted no. Aldis also added that at this stage, at least one struggle had been won:

“The truth is that no,” said Nick Aldis in response to feeling satisfied with his ring career so far. “I would like to put them on. I don't care if it is regularly, but I have earned it. If it were once again, so it is. I feel that I fulfill the criteria to be on that canvas at least once.” (From 44:17 to 44:54)

Nick Aldis reflects on feeling betrayed by Cody Rhodes before WWE

In an interview with Inside The Ropes Earlier this year, Nick Aldis talked about fighting Cody Rhodes for NWA's world heavyweight title on the 2018 PPV All In. He was not informed in advance that Rhodes and Tony Khan were planning All Elite Wrestling.

AEW began its journey a year later, with The American Nightmare as co -founder and also as an executive vice president. Today, the company stands as a worthy rival of the WWE.

“I think in this business, if you start making comparisons, you can quickly fall into a hole of bitterness and resentment. I felt a little betrayed when I discovered that everyone was familiar; everyone knew about Tony Khan and had been planning something like that (AEW).”

The NWA world weight champion, Thom Latimer, believes that Nick Aldis should return to the ring. Latimer admitted that he could wake up envy in Aldis because the latter is an off -road fighter.
