Vince McMahon made WWE go from being a regional promotion of professional wrestling to a power of sports entertainment with a massive reach worldwide. This trip was not exempt from controversies, scandals, accusations, rumors and speculations, which continue to this day. RVD has just made some interesting comments about Mr. McMahon and its acquisition of the industry.

Extreme Championship Wrestling was officially launched in 1994 under the direction of Paul Heyman. The iconic promotion closed in 2001, but that year he revived as a WWE mark for his focus on invasion. Vince McMahon bought ECW assets in 2003 and, in 2005, he began to reintroduce the hardcore organization through content, products, documentaries and PPV. ECW worked as a complete brand from May 2006 to February 2010, presenting the ECW ON SCI-FI weekly program.

The ECW has been in the news this year thanks to the incorporation of Heyman into the Hall of Fame, Wrestlemania XL in Philadelphia, the Biography documentary of A & e about the ECW and the recent special NXT 2300 from the old ECW Arena. In statements a Busted Open RadioThe Whole F'n Show offered his unique vision when asked why WWE recovered the brand. RVD hinted that McMahon could have revived Extreme Championship Wrestling only to destroy it, and added that the former ECW heavyweight champion did not like fans to shout “ECW!” during the WWE shows.

“When the WWE brought back to ECW, there were several occasions in which it could have been shown that they were only bringing it back to destroy it. I mean, Vince (McMahon) wore the belt, and they changed all the OG for The New Breed… for me, they were making a state We were in the ring, ”said Rob Van Dam.

In recent years, RVD has fought for AEW, TNA and innumerable indies. His last fight at the WWE was a counting victory over Seth Rollins in the August 28, 2014 edition of Main Event, which occurred just after his defeat in Smackdown against Rollins. He appeared in NXT 2300 last week to prevent Wes Lee from cheating during the defeat against Je'von Evans.

Rob Van Dam went viral because of his surprise appearance at the recent WWE NXT 2300 event since the old ECW Arena in Philadelphia. Van Dam praised Je'von Evans after helping him defeat Wes Lee by avoiding a low blow.

An X fan wanted Mr. Monday Night to have fought at NXT 2300. The member of the WWE Hall of Fame replied and said there would be more.

“Me too, but I will return,” Rob Van Dam wrote.

The Whole F'n Show has a contract with WWE Legends since 2021. While it can appear in TNA, AEW and other promotions, it cannot take advantage of specific terms, such as the same royalty payments that others receive for AEW's action figures.
