The Guindos Club has confirmed the march of Tyson Carter, which will not continue on the Cajista squad and points to the Red Star. It thus becomes the fourth official summer-quinta if Mario Saint-Supéry is included. The American base-escolta, a key piece in the scheme of Ibon Navarro since its arrival in 2022, ends its stage in Malaga.
The club's statement ratifies what the president had already advanced at the press conference at the end of the season: “Carter has not become official because the starting clause has to be paid. We are not going to negotiate any clause. Carter's is 100,000 euros.”
The Unicaja already had tied to its substitute, Xavier Castañeda, and now the Mississipi player's departure is also confirmed. Carter arrived in Malaga with 24 years, given by the Zenit of St. Petersburg, and a year later he consolidated as a club player. He says goodbye with 27 years and a brilliant record: two Cups del Rey (2023 and 2025), two BCL (2024 and 2025), an intercontinental cup (2024) and an Endesa Super Cup (2024).
