
A joint operation of the Civil guardian and the National Police has allowed to dismantle an active Romanian Bunderonos Band settled in Alicante that was dedicated to stealing copper in companies of electrical material throughout the country. In just over three months they perpetrated a dozen assaults in which they obtained a loot of almost 600.000 euros in mercantiles of Villena, Ibi, Elche, Almansa (Albacete), Valladolid, Cañada and Bullas (Murcia).
In the operation, five band members have been arrested in Novelda, Aspe and in the Murcia town of Bullas. In addition, four other people from the provinces of Toledo and Madrid by reception having bought the subtracted copper.
The five band members were in Provisional freedom with precautionary measures after being brought to court, where they were assisted by the Lawyer Eloy Ferrández. To perpetrate the assaults they rented vans with great load capacity and moved together with private vehicles to the municipalities where their objectives were. The band sought especially storage and distribution companies of electrical material located in industrial areas.

Thanks to this they came to commit until three robberies during the same night, getting ankle boots that in some cases rose to 246,744 euros in copper material stolen from an IBI electrical material company. This money, added to the facts committed in other companies in Villena, Cañada and Elche, generated benefits to the band of 380,000 euros only with the assaults in the Alicante province.

The exploitation phase of the joint operation took place at the end of the last trial, when all the members were already identified and it was detected that they were planning a new robbery with a rental vehicle.
The researchers established a Surveillance device and followed two suspects from the province of Alicante to the Murcia town of Bullas. There they committed an assault and they were two people arrested When they already had a lot of copper cable in the van that they had stolen in a company of an industrial estate. Then they were arrested two more suspects in Novelda and a third in Aspe.
Days after these arrests, a second phase of the operation was carried out to detain the people who bought the copper. Thus, the research revealed that there were two metal recovery and recycling companies located in Leganés (Madrid) and in Numancia de la Sagra (Toledo) that allegedly acted in collusion with the authors of the robberies buying the copper knowing that such a number of cable was unusual and, therefore, of Clara Illicit origin.
Therefore, two other people were arrested for reception, which are responsible for such companies, and two others were also investigated to this same crime.
