His favorite flower was sunflower, he was learning Italian and shared his poems all the time with his friends and family.
The Iranian poet Parnia Abassi was a few days after turning 24 when she and her family died while they slept, during an Israeli attack against the Orkideh residential complex in western Tehran, capital of Iran.
Along with paronia, his father, parviz (retired teacher) also died; his mother, Masoodeh (retired bank employee); and his younger brother, Parham (university student).
This offensive is part of the Operation Lion Nascent, a campaign directed by Israel against Iran's nuclear and military infrastructure, which has been conflicted to both countries for a week.
The Israel Defense Forces (FDI) confirmed that one of the main objectives of this attack was Abdolhamid Minouchehr, director of the Faculty of Nuclear Engineering of the Shahid Beheshti University, who also died.
It is not clear if the paronia building was attacked directly or if it suffered damage for being close to the planned objective.
Some sources shared images that suggested that Abbasi's destroyed residence coincided with the location of Minouchehr, which implied possible collateral damage.
The truth is that, until now, there is no evidence that links paronia or any family member with Iran's military or nuclear activities.
The FDI refused to comment on Abbasi's death, but confirmed in a statement that the army “attacked and eliminated” Minouchehr, whom they described as an expert in reactor physics, according to the newspaper the newspaper The Washington Post.
