A veteran journalist has given an interesting reaction to Adam Copeland's name change in AEW and is something that fans could agree. Copeland could begin to have second doubts about the change of name.
Copeland returned to AEW in Worlds End, where he confronted Jon Moxley and Death Riders with FTR. A few days later, it was revealed that it would now be known as Cope. That caused a lot of confusion among fans.
Dave Meltzer gave his opinion on the subject and said he has no idea why Copeland decided to make that decision. I was talking in the Wrestling Observer Radio When he said:
“I have no idea why. I think that because his entire career was Edge, so he simply believes that he should be Cope. Whatever his decision, I mean, he does not, it makes no difference, it is Adam Copeland. The idea is absolutely to call him Cope, yes. It is his decision, I do not think he changes the world or anything. I would not have done it. It's not something that says 'Oh, stupid idea', it's just something. “
Dutch Temell doesn't like the new name of Adam Copeland
Adam Copeland is the center of attention and its name change remains a topic of discussion. Adding to the wrestling personalities list that they don't like of their new name is Dutch Mantell.
Mantell is known for being an open critic of the things he does not like and his words were not kept in the last episode of his podcast Story Time with Dutch Mantell. Said:
“I don't like it, Cope. Put a 's' in front, it could be 'scope' … I wonder if they could make the 's' mean something. Scope … Cope … (laughs) yes … Sullivan Cope, what the hell? Dr. Sullivan Cope? We will invent something if we continue to throw ideas.
Given all the uproar around his name, it will be interesting to see if Adam Copeland has something to say about it soon.
