Saraya is not measuring his words about his absence of AEW programming. The former AEW women's world champion has been missing from television since October 2024, and is now explaining why.
Speaking in the B4 The Bell, Saraya, formerly known as Paige in the WWE. He admitted that, although he still has much to offer, he does not believe that AEW has a place for her in the current template.
“Yes, there is still a lot in the tank. Only I don't think there is space for me right now,” said Saraya without Rodeos. “Everyone at AEW are doing incredible and razing job, and why would they try to fit me now? I prefer to stay at home than to be in catering.”
His last appearance in AEW was during the October 8 episode, Dynamite, when he participated in a eliminatory fight for four people for the World Women's title. Since then, it has maintained a low profile while other talents have taken the center of the stage.
With a template full of rising stars and outstanding performances, Saraya seems to be as seeing from the stands for now – but his tone also suggested that he is not happy for it. For fans who expect a sudden return, it seems that it will not happen until AEW finds a significant direction for your character.
Saraya doesn't know if an AEW champion wants a fight against her
Sasha Banks (Mercedes Varado) joined AEW last year. Now known as Mercedes Mone, he has not crossed roads with Saraya.
Saraya praised Banks for knowing her value while talking with Alistair McGeorge de Metro :
“I love the fact that she took her career in her own hands, she knows what it is worth and knows that she wants them to treat her in a certain way, and deserve to be treated that way because she has done a lot for the wrestling business.
She is one of the girls who puts back in the seats, and you want to see wrestling and want to see the star event. She deserves all those things.
In 2017, the then Paige suffered an injury in a live event in December when it was associated with Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville to face Bayley's team, Mickie James and Sasha Banks. During the fight, Banks caught the twice champion of the divas with a strong kick on the back that injured his neck again, taking it out of career for several years.
Saraya does not forget what happened and wants to fight again with Banks.
Wherever I finish (Banks), I will be happy for her, and anyone who gets her will have a lot of luck. I just hope selfishly to fight it someday.
I don't know if she would like because she would probably be afraid to fight me again. ”
