Last week in Smackdown, The Rock revealed that he wants WWE's undisputed champion, Cody Rhodes, becomes “her champion.” Although The American Nightmare has not yet responded to the offer of The Final Boss, wrestling veteran Stevie Richards suggested that another outstanding superstar could be the man that The Great One needs.
The Rock had an intense rivalry with Rhodes towards Wrestlemania 40. However, the two seem to have buried the war ax, since they hugged in Raw's debut episode in Netflix and even shared a drink behind the scene. Last Friday, The Final Boss offered the 39 -year -old man to realize all his dreams and those of his family if he becomes “his champion”, revealing that he wants the soul of The American Nightmare. The latter would have to give his response in Elimination Chamber this Saturday.
In a recent podcast episode The BrandRichards and the former main writer of WWE Vince Russo discussed the possible candidates to become the corporate champion of The Rock if Rhodes rejected the offer, including CM Punk, Seth Rollins and John Cena. The former Hardcore champion suggested that Logan Paul would be a more appropriate option, highlighting that The Maverick would help the title as well as the title would help him:
“The other that people are not mentioning and that I think would generate the greatest amount of rejection is Logan Paul. Now you have someone mainstream, very polarizing, but it would be a guy who the belt could help and he could help the belt carrying it out of WWE,” he said. (From 14:08 to 14:30)
Stevie Richards believes that another WWE Top star could offer her services to The Rock
In the same episode of the podcast The BrandStevie Richards proposed another scenario in which Kevin Owens would offer her services to The Rock if Cody Rhodes was not sold.
WWE's former superstar said that The Final Boss could reject The Prizefighter, which would lead the latter to attack him and start an unprecedented rivalry:
“The only interesting thing that would be completely opposite to what Rock wants, or if you want to turn that guy again in babyface, it is when Kevin Owens says that it can be your corporate champion and rock literally answer: 'You wear a shirt. You are a fat F. you are this and that.' And Kevin hits rock, so you start something between Rocky and Kevin Owens, ”he said.
While Owens is scheduled to fight Sami Zayn in Elimination Chamber, Logan Paul will compete in the men's elimination chamber for an opportunity for the Rhodes title in Wrestlemania 41.
