Omos has been absent from WWE television for a while and has not competed in the Ring for the headquarters in Stamford in more than a year. Meanwhile, Dominik Mysterio surprised when he challenged the Nigerian giant for one against one.
A few years ago, Omos was a constant presence in the weekly product and faced the company's prominent names. However, the appearances of the Nigerian giant became limited under the creative regime of Triple H, and former RAW couples champion was rarely seen in Gimmick fighting.
In an interview in Pro Wrestling & MMA Interviewsthe current intercontinental champion, Dominik Mysterio, challenged Omos when the presenter mentioned the basketball skills of the absent star. Later, Mysterio said he is ready for a fight against one with the Nigerian giant and would show that he is the best fighter.
“Are you joking? There is a reason why you are fighting now. If not, you would have seen it playing in the NBA or something like that, but the man is fighting here. I tell you one thing: put me in a fight against one with omos, and I will show you why that guy is fighting. I don't care if he measures eight feet high,” said Mysterio. (From 11:40 to 12:00)
Omos has not had a one against one in WWE in more than two years
In 2022, Omos became a remarkable name in WWE's main roster when he allied with MVP after Wrestlemania 38. The Nigerian giant was destined to receive a great boost under the old regime after achieving a counting victory over Bobby Lashley in Wrestlemania Backlash.
Unfortunately for omos, the new regime prioritized other names, and the Nigerian giant was used to a lesser extent. In 2023, he had a fight against one against Brock Lesnar in Wrestlemania 39, which he lost. The following month, he had an individual fight against Seth Rollins in Puerto Rico, which he also lost.
After this, Omos was mainly used in Gimmick fighting as Battle Royale and Royal Rumble, but failed to win. Earlier this year, he won the GHC couples titles in Japan with Jack Morris. After delivering the title, he finished his stage in Noah. It will be interesting to see when he returns to WWE.
