The Minister of National Security of Israel, the ultra -nationalist Itamar Ben Gvir, visited the Al Aqsa Mosque enclosure in Jerusalem and prayed there, thus violating a decades of decades of seniority that governs one of the most sensitive places in the Middle East.
Photos and videos of the visit show Ben Gvir leading the Jewish prayers in the enclosure, known by the Jews as the Mount of the Temple, in the occupied Eastern Jerusalem.
Praying in the place breaks a long data agreement that allows the Jews to visit it, but not to pray.
The Israeli Prime Minister's office issued a statement by stating that there have been no changes in Israeli policy of maintaining the situation whenwhich only allows the Muslim cult.
“Unacceptable provocation”
Jordan, custodian of the site, described Ben Gvir's last visit as “an unacceptable provocation.”
Hamas described her as “a deepening of the in progress against our Palestinian people”, while a spokesman for the president of the Palestinian authority, Mahmud Abbas, said the visit “crossed all the red lines.”
The site is the most sacred place for the Jews, since it housed two biblical temples. It is the most sacred third place for Muslims, who believe it was there where the prophet Muhammad ascended to heaven.

The site was taken by Israel to Jordan in the War of the Middle East of 1967. under the situation whenJordan was allowed to continue his historical role as custodian of the place, while Israel assumed security and access control.
The Palestinians accuse Israel of taking measures to undermine the agreements and complain that, in recent years, Jewish visitors have often praying without being arrested by the Israeli police.
Waqf, the Islamic Foundation that manages the place, said Ben Gvir was among the 1,250 Jews who went up to the complex on Sunday morning.
Ben Gvir, an ultra -nationalist who, as Minister of National Security, supervises the Police, had already visited the place previously, but the Times of Israel He informed that this was the first time he prayed openly there.
The minister was surrounded by police as he entered and tour the complex.
In a statement from the place, he affirmed that the “horrible” hostage video published recently by Hamas, in which they appear emaciated, aimed to press Israel and demanded his return.
The minister also reiterated his call to Israel to occupy the entire Gaza Strip and promote what he described as the “voluntary emigration” of Palestinians of the territory.
Experts claim that this would constitute the forced displacement of civilians and a possible war crime.
Ben Gvir has been sanctioned by the United Kingdom for “repeated incitement to violence against Palestinian communities” in the busy West Bank.
