The WWE gave the first important indication of a possible change of course by Kevin Owens in SmackDown last night. When reviewing the segment, wrestling veteran Dutch Mantel suggested that KO could be unhappy with Cody Rhodes for having left late to help him this week.
Kevin Owens, as expected, continued his battle against The Bloodline and, at the end of the show, he found herself in number by the Heel faction.
After the star event, a massive fight was unleashed and, despite the multiple reinforcements, The Bloodline managed to beat Ko until The American Nightmare finally managed to save him. There was a brief moment when Owens would hit Cody on the back with a chair before they shake hands.
It is an interesting phase in Kevin Owens' career in the WWE, since the reports suggest that their contract will expire in January 2025. While sharing his thoughts in Smack Talk Dutch Mantell felt that WWE was recognizing Owens' contractual state and at the same time advancing multiple stories.
The former WWE manager also said that Kevin Owens could save Rhods against Rhodes for not having been there for rescue in time, which eventually led to a change to Heel.
“There are a few months (until the KO contract expires), but they are hinting at it, so it's already there. We have to stop and think: 'Is Kevin angry because Cody took him to help him?' Do you know what I mean? ”He said.
Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns will form a team in Bad Blood, and their alliance could have significant consequences, including the betrayal of Kevin Owens to The American Nightmare.
