The mess is over with James Nnaji. Barça and the player have separated their paths after five years, by exercising the termination clause present in the contract that linked both parties until 2027. The Nigerian pivot recently declared for MD that ended its stage as culé to find a hole in the NBA while the club argued that it had a contract for 2 more seasons. The club said that if the player or any NBA franchise wishes to disconnect it from the Catalan club immediately, it must face a termination clause encrypted in 800,000 euros, and that only the club had the option of terminating the contract.
Nnaji arrived in the summer of 2020 with 16 years and played in the lower categories, in its beginnings was a fixed in the matches of Barça Atlètic and, immediately, entered the dynamics of the first team. He came to debut with the Barca team in November 2021 in a Euroleague match against Zalgiris de Kaunas. In his first duel in the Endesa League, against Baxi Manresa, he starred in the best debut of a young man under 18: 10 points, 5 rebounds, 5 caps for an assessment of 19.
