Bayley's hopes to win a title on WWE Wrestlemania 41 ended after a mysterious attacker left her out of combat. Now, a report has shed light on who can replace it at night two of the shows show.
The Role Model and Lyra Valkyria recently linked strength to form a new team of couples. They surpassed five other duos in the April 11, 2025 edition of SmackDown to become the number one contenders for the WWE Women's Championship of WWE of Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez.
It was revealed during the Countdown of Wrestlemania last night that someone attacked Bayley in the backstage area, and could not compete in the shows shows.
Morgan and Rodriguez were present at the incident scene, but denied any responsibility. Raw general manager, Adam Pearce, informed Lyra Valkyria that she needed to find a replacement for Bayley if she wanted to challenge the title of couples.
In the last edition of Wrestling Observer RadioBryan Alvarez reported that Becky Lynch would replace Bayley at night two of Wrestlemania 41. However, he also added that WWE could change the plans if “the news filters.”
“They made an angle before Wrestlemania where Bayley was attacked. This is the return of Becky Lynch; she will replace Bayley with Lyra. I suppose that if the news filters, they could change it, but that was the plan today,” said Alvarez. (H/T: CULTAHOLIC)
For those concerned with Bayley, it was reported shortly after the backstage attack that the entire angle was planned for weeks, and she is not legitimately injured.
It will be interesting to see if Becky Lynch, who competed for the last time in May 2024, appears in WWE Wrestlemania 41.
