The WWE Booker T legend is surprised by the development of one of the company's current champions. Although the member of the Hall of Fame has continually praised talent within WWE, it is particularly impressed by the speed with which the 25 -year -old champion has improved.
Tiffany Stratton will go to Wrestlemania 41 as WWE women's champion. With only 25 years, Stratton is currently the youngest roster champion. He also began to fight at the end of 2021, so he has only been in the ring for three years and three months.
In the last episode of his podcast Hall of FameBooker T gave Stratton a lot of praise for how well he had improved in such a short time. He even called her “phenomenon” in the midst of his first way to Wrestlemania, which he will enter as a champion.
“For someone like Tiffany Stratton, who does not have been in business for long, it is not like an experienced, veteran professional or something like that, it is a professional. You can go there and act at a very, very high level. You can work with anyone at this stage, maybe three years inside. It is truly a phenomenon,” said Booker T. (2:17 – 2:45)
Tiffany Stratton signed a development contract in August 2021, immediately starting his training at the WWE Performance Center. He made his debut three months later in an episode of 205 Live. He was then promoted to NXT a month later and has not looked back since then.
Stratton won the NXT women's championship in May 2023 before being finally called to the main roster in February last year. It was quickly taken to success, winning the Money in the Bank briefcase last July and redeeming it in Nia Jax last month.
Booker T also praised the way Tiffany Stratton approached his training
In an episode of the podcast Hall of Fame last January, Booker T was very impressed with Tiffany Stratton despite being young and being less than three years in his career. He described it as “trained”, something that every candidate for WWE star needs to be.
“That is what I recognize in Tiffany more than anything, it is so trained. I remember reading something she said, about not leaving Nxt before being completely 100% ready, she didn't want to be too confident. (…) having that process of thought at such a young age told me a lot about her. And then, with the little advice she gave her, she definitely came out and implemented that little advice,” said Booker T.
Stratton is scheduled to team up with Trish Stratus in Elimination Chamber to face Nia Jax and Candice Lerae.
