The activist Reyes Rigo, the only Spanish member of the Global Sumud Flotilla in Israeli custody after her arrest on October 1, has reached an agreement with the Prosecutor's Office to reduce the charges of which she was accused and will be deported this Saturday, according to the Israeli media 'Yedioth Ahronoth'.

Previously, the councilor of Unidas Podemos in Palma City Council, Lucía Muñoz, who also participated in the flotilla, had reported that the Spanish consul had informed Rigo's brother that there had been an agreement during the hearing that was held this Friday. According to Muñoz, Rigo's family is now waiting to contact the lawyer defending her and pay the fine.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs did not want to confirm the imminent release of the Spanish woman or whether there has been an agreement that allows it. “The consul has attended the oral hearing and has conveyed all the information to the family,” the department headed by José Manuel Albares has simply stated.

According to the aforementioned Israeli media, the Beer Sheva court has accepted the agreement after Rigo pleaded guilty to causing bodily harm and aggravated assault on a guard.
