Briscoe's legacy is still alive in Mark and Jay's children. Between memories, struggle and hope, they could write the next family chapter in the ring. On the way to participating in the Casino Gauuntlet fight for a future titular opportunity in AEW All In: Texas, Mark Briscoe looks at the future In an interview with Metro.

► In the words of Mark Briscoe

Do you think your children or Jay could follow the legacy Briscoe in wrestling?
I would be surprised if at least a few of the next generation of Briscoes do not carry the torch of what dad and uncle Jay did. Four of my eight children today could see them as fighters. Two of them would bet money. Jay's children do not necessarily seem interested in getting into the fight, but the three have an incredible potential. “

Would you fight in pairs again in the future?
I would only fight two against two if it is with one of my children or one of Jay's. That would be the only way. “

Did you think of retiring after Jay's accident?
“When the accident occurred, one of my first thoughts was: 'I never want to fight again.' But it didn't spend much time until I understood: I'm not going to survive if I don't fight. This is my therapy. “

What does it mean for you to continue fighting now without Jay?
There is no time in the ring in which he does not feel that he is there with me. We always did it together. I know that it doesn't matter how well I do it, or on my best day multiplied by ten I could even approach what we achieved together. ”

What is your goal as an individual fighter now?
“I want to do it well enough for people to say: 'I like to see Mark Briscoe fight, I heard that I had a brother named Jay who died in 2023 …'. And then seek our struggles as a couple and say: 'Wow! I thought Mark was good, but this … this was something else '.”

How spiritually deal with the loss of your brother?
“If even 0.5% of me believed that Jay is dead and missing forever, I could not continue with my daily life. I still feel it. I know he's more alive than me … He no longer has to worry about accounts, taxes or all those nonsense than us.”
