Although he will soon turn 46, Carlito feels that he still has some time left as a competitor inside the ring, but that does not mean that he has no situations with his body.
Carlito has returned to WWE since 2023, 13 years after his initial stage in the company ended. He has an outstanding role in WWE RAW as a member of Judgment Day with Finn Balor, Dominik Mysterio, JD McDonagh, Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodríguez.
During the weekend of Royal Rumble in Indianapolis, Carlito was the guest in a live episode of Insight with Chis Van Vliet.
The Puerto Rican fighter will celebrate his 46th birthday on February 21. When asked if he would fight until 50, Carlito said that will probably not happen. He feels that he could handle him mentally, but he does not believe that it works for his body especially now that he is dealing with some injuries.
“I've been dealing with some injuries, so not taking fallen has helped me,” said Carlito. “As I said, I still have a bit of energy.”
Carlito's most recent fight was November 2024.
Carlito hopes to retire in a few years
The issue of his future in the ring emerged, and Carlito said he believes he still has some years left and hopes to end his career at WWE.
“For a while, yes. I feel that I still have some energy,” said Carlito. “I feel that I have a few more years. Not many, but a few.”
Carlito also said that he had a lot of fun being part of Judgment Day and hopes to do something with them in Wrestlemania 41 this April.
