The World Wrestling Council (WWC) will celebrate its Summer Madness 2025 event on Saturday, May 31 on the Pepín Cestero de Bayamón court, Puerto Rico. The star fight will face Carlito, current WWE superstar and member of The Judgment Day, against his former rival Ray González.
The announcement of this meeting was made by Carlito himself today, May 18, 2025, during the WWC Superstar program. This shock revives a rivalry with significant history in WWC.
Carlito returns to WWC thanks to an agreement between WWE and the Puerto Rican promotion. This will be his first fight in the company since June 2023, before his full -time return to WWE in October of that year. With 17 reigns as a universal champion, Carlito is a code name in the history of WWC.
Ray González, meanwhile, accumulates 24 reigns as a universal champion and 1,861 days as a monarch, consolidating himself as one of the most dominant fighters of the promotion. The fight in Summer Madness represents a new chapter in its competition.
Carlito and Ray González have faced on several occasions on WWC since their first clash in 2000, leaving a legacy of fighting with a rich history within their rivalry, which could write a new chapter this month.
