For the first time since 2008, WWE Saturday Night's Main Event returned, again in his original NBC home and from Unionz, New York, the place where the first episode of the program was recorded.
The two -hour program will be full of nostalgia, from the original song song to the return of Jesse Ventura, who described the scenario as a simpler one, with tickets reminiscent of those of the 1980s.
WWE's undisputed champion, Cody Rhodes, will defend his title against his staunch rival and former champion Kevin Owens, while in a three -way fight for the WWE heavyweight world title, Gunther will defend against two former champions: Damian Priest and Finn Balor.
The WWE Women's World Champion, Liv Morgan, will defend her title against Iyo Sky, while the first women's women's champion will be crowned in a fight between Chelsea Green and Michin.
The main billboard is completed with Sami Zayn facing Drew McIntyre in the first fight from Hell in A Cell in October.

– After the characteristic introduction of the WWE, an aerial shot of New York City was shown with the voice of Joe Tessitore, by RAW, welcoming us to tonight's program. Then the iconic musical introduction with “Obsession” of Animotion was presented.
– Jesse “The Body” Ventura joined Tesiter in the transmission position, being received with strong cheers from Unionz's public, NY. Ventura and Tessitore talked about the fight between Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens, with Ventura throwing sarcastic comments about Rhodes as only he knows how to do it. Then, the narration passed to Michael Cole in Ringside, while Pat Mcafee joined the commentators team.
Drew McIntyre vence a Sami Zayn
Zayn attacked McIntyre immediately when the bell rang, but was shot down with a machete. Zayn recovered and hit McIntyre with several stuff in the corner, followed by a bond around his neck. On the edge of the ring, Zayn connected a Moonsault modified from the corner on McIntyre.
At the other end of the ring, Zayn tried a leap to the outside, but was caught by McIntyre, who crashed into the commentator table. In the end Drew manages to connect Claymore Kick for victory.
– Tito Santana, Rich Hering and Jimmy Hart were among the public enjoying the show.
Liv Morgan retained the female championship against Io Sky
Morgan left with Dominik and Raquel, but these did not accompany her to ringside. Good couple fight in which Liv bleed from the nose. In the end Iyo throws himself from the third rope but Liv receives it with kick to do not after his final movement and win.
After the fight Rhea Ripley came out, who looked straight at Liv Morgan.
Gunther retained the world championship against Damian Priest and Finn Balor in 3way
Fight quite a couple in which the champion was seen in trouble on several occasions. In the end Gunther throws Priest in Powerbomb against the steps on the outskirts and annihulates Balor with kick in the ring to iron and retain him.
Chelsea Green beat Michin to crowned the first US champion
Green wins after Piper Nieven intervened. Michin Al Hit and shortly after Green capitalized for victory.
Koko B. Ware and Greg “The Hammer” Valentine were shown in the crowd, while Jesse Ventura joined Michael Cole and Pat Mcafee at the comment table.
Cody Rhodes defeated Kevin Owens to retain the undisputed championship
Kevin Owens made his entrance wearing a shirt with his face on the image of Dusty Rhodes, while Cody Rhodes entered the ring with the Winged Eagle belt on his waist, as he had insinuated days before.
In the final moments Owens looked for a stunner, Cody responded with a Cross Rhodes, but both accidentally collided against the referee, leaving him out of combat. Owens managed to connect a Stunner, but the auxiliary referee only reached a two account. In an attempt at Pop-Up Powerbomb, Rhodes blocked the movement and a new accidental shock left out the second referee.
Owens tried to use a chair to finish off Cody, but he dodged the blow, applied a Cody Cutter and then a Cross Rhodes on the chair. Rhodes quickly hid the evidence and achieved three to retain the championship.
