Cody Rhodes recently sat down with Kenny McIntosh from Inside The Ropes to talk about its two star events in Wrestlemania. During the interview, Rhodes shared some of the most significant memories that had left of those moments, especially the weekend of Wrestlemania 40, where he finally won a very anticipated victory.
When asked about the memories that most marked the weekend of Wrestlemania 40, Cody Rhodes spoke with great emotion about the moment he finally won the title. For him, one of the happiest moments was when Charles Robinson, the legendary WWE known as “Little Naitch”, handed him the title. Rhodes expressed:
“The best thing that happened, if you ask me what is in my heart – and I don't think I have articulated this to this person – it is Charles Robinson, the legendary WWE and Little Naitch. Charles giving me the title. Even now, I have a tense when I think about it. Charles Robinson giving me the title was the happiest memory I could have.

A dream come true for Cody Rhodes
Cody continued to reflect on how special that moment was for him, highlighting the improbability that things would come out as they had done. In the world of wrestling, as in life, a happy ending is not always obtained.
Cody knew that the opportunity to fight again against Roman Reigns would not appear again if he did not achieve victory in Philadelphia. Therefore, to receive the title of Robinson's hands, who is not only a veteran referee but also a key figure in the organization and direction of the officers and the ring team, was extremely significant.
“I think that also because he is the senior officer, in terms of being in charge of the officers, leading the ring team … having that moment with him. Maybe he knows, I think he can be of the guy who does not need to tell us anything to each other. But that was incredibly special.”
