Colombia finished the world games of Chengdú 2025 at Top 10: This is how the medaller was

The Colombian delegation signed an outstanding performance in the World Gengdú 2025 Games, which concluded this Sunday, when they were located in the tenth place of the general medal with a total of 21 medals, a result that ratifies the regularity of the country in this type of international fair.

The total harvest of national athletes was seven golds, eight silver and six bronzes, with a special prominence of speed skating, discipline in which Colombia made it clear again that it is one of the great powers worldwide.

The great figure was the Bogota skate Gabriela Rueda, who hung three golds and two silvers to become the most laureate athlete of the tricolor team. The Santandereano Juan Jacobo Mantilla and the Magdalene María Fernanda Timms also shone, with two golds each.

In total, there were 45 Colombian athletes who competed in Chengdú (China), who in addition to their conquests in speed skating, contributed medals in underwater activities, swimming with fins, Squash and Jiu-Jitsu.

By fourth consecutive edition, Colombia remained in the top 10 of the World Games. He also achieved that goal in Cali 2013, Breslavia 2017 and Birmingham 2022. The Ministry of Sports supported this participation with an investment of 2,654 million pesos.

Among Latin American delegations, Colombia was the most successful in Chengdú. China, as host, dominated from beginning to end, while Germany (2nd), Ukraine (3rd) and Italy (4th) starred in a more closed fight for places of honor in the podium.
