This Friday, July 25, the Sports Village of Bogotá was the scene of the official delivery of the Colombian flag to the athletes that will represent the country in the XII World Genngdú 2025 Games and the II Junior Asunción 2025 Pan American Games.
The ceremony, headed by the Minister of Sports, Patricia Duque Cruz, and the president of the Colombian Olympic Committee, Ciro Solano Hurtado, marked the beginning of the international road of two delegations that will compete between August 7 and 23 in China and Paraguay, respectively.
Bugdú will travel 44 Colombian athletes to compete in disciplines such as skating, Jiu-Jitsu, flying disc, gymnastics and karate, while Asunción will be done 213 athletes that will look for medals in 34 sports, including athletics, fight, cycling, swimming and weights. Those in charge of carrying the tricolor flag will be Jairo Viviescas and Ximena Montaña for the World Games; and Andrés Hernández and Angélica Ospina for the appointment in Paraguay.

In their interventions, both Minister Duque and the President of the COC highlighted the commitment of athletes and the role of sport as a engine of social transformation.
