Corridor died in the middle of the half marathon in Bogotá: this is known

An unfortunate event enlutted what had so far been a splendid organization of the half marathon of Bogotá 2025. One of the 42,000 athletes, who participated in the 10 kilometers test, lost his life while he was competing in the event.

This was confirmed by the Institute for Recreation and Sports (IDRD) and the Organization of the Concramine, in charge of the logistics of the competition. According to the report of both entities, the man, identified as Pedro Enrique Rodríguez Suárez, collapsed when it was 200 meters from reaching the goal.

However, for reasons that have not yet been confirmed, the man suffered a decompensation and had to be attended by the medical staff of the competition and, subsequently, transferred to a health center to receive medical help

Given their proximity to the place of the event, the ambulance transferred them to the San José Infant Hospital, located a few blocks from the circuit where the event was being developed.

However, the medical body could not do anything to save his life, since Rodriguez arrived without vital signs to the hospital. The IDRD and Road Runner lamented the death and said they accompany the family at this time painful.
