This Tuesday, July 1, the works for the realization of the Castellana Park have begun. The project involves 675 meters from the Paseo de la Castellana which goes from Sinneso Delgado to the northern knot of the M-30, and will create an additional surface of 70,000 m2. These works will be executed in different phases, which extend until the spring of 2027.
The Madrid City Council informs that, to minimize the impact of the works, it will launch a device that will have members of the Municipal Police and mobility agents.
The phases of the work of the Castilian Park
The first phase ranges from July 1 to August 3, 2025. During this time, a lane of the lateral service of the Paseo de la Castellana will be occupied in the margin of the odd farms, from north to south, which is in front of the hospital of La Paz and the Moeve tower.

The second phase, which will significantly affect traffic, will begin on August 4 and will run until December 2026. Throughout this stage, the central lanes of the Paseo de la Castellana will be cut in the two senses, between Sinnesio Delgado and the Northern knot. Even so, the circulation on the side roads will be continued. On the one hand, on the North-South side of the odd farms, they will enable two lanes of circulation. On the other hand, from north three lanes of general use and a bus lane will be available with the northern knot of the M-30.
The alternative routes during the works
In a sense Departure to the M-607, it can be circulated from the Plaza de Cuzco by Sor Ángela de la Cruz and Valle de Mena to the Avenida de la Enustration; From the Plaza de Castilla, on Avenida de Asturias and Ginzo de Limia, or from the crossing of Castellana with Monforte de Lemos, by this avenue to Ginzo de Limia and the avenue of the Enlightenment.

In the departure, from Plaza de Cuzco it is recommended to circulate along Alberto Alcocer and Costa Rica avenue to connect with the M-30 and from Plaza de Castilla, by Mateo Inurria, fallen from the Blue Division and Avenida de Pío XII.
The routes and temporary stops of public transport
In the entrance, the alternatives include the outputs of the South M-30 through the Pius XII tunnel or by Avenida de Pío XII, connecting with Mateo Inurria or with Cuzco Square through Alberto Alcocer.
The urban lines of EMT Madrid will maintain their usual tours, although some stops can be modified promptly as the work progresses. Interurban lines will experience greater changes from the second phase of the worksthat is, from August 4. In total, 31 lines will be affected, so there will be new itineraries and provisional stops depending on its origin and destination. In the departure, they will all circulate along the side of the Paseo de la Castellana, where temporary stops will be enabled.
