Eugene's musical duo, Oregon, Dana & Alden present their new album 'Speedo'which went on sale through Concord Jazz. It is his first job with his new record, it is a jump to the unknown, In search of new sounds that had never heard in collaboration with the multi -standardist and extraordinary producer Charif Megarbane.

Recorded over two rainy and febrile weeks in Lisbon, Dana, Alden and Charif experienced with rare synthesizers and analog toys to create a new and imaginative complete album that fully performs the imaginative ideas presented in their first two albums. Without losing its roots in jazz, 'Speedo' becomes intentionally 'messy', incorporating funk elements, indie rock, pop, hip-hop and much moreas they demonstrated in their recent performance in Elevator Music. The two brothers, Dana and Alden McWayne, the latter may recognize it as @gucci_pineapplethey grew captivated by the music that surrounded them in Eugene, since Bob Dylan and Talking Heads to Grateful Dead and the Irish Folk Folk. First they made music together as a duo with their EP of debut Brothers, in 2021, which became Quiet Music for Young People, in 2023, with the viral theme ‘Let’s Go to Trader Joe’s (featuring Cinya Khan)’ y ‘Coyote, You’re My Star’last year. The brothers and their accompaniment band -Andrew Mitchell to bass, Ebba Dankel to the voice and the keys, Eli Torgersen to the voice and the guitar, and Salim Charvet to the sax and the synthesizers- have found their rhythm after having turned with Benny Sings and the dates already mentioned with Remi Wolf

Although 'Speedo' is free in his song to song mutations, both in the sound and the thematic, the whole of the work represents two brothers and musicians who make themselves. The album's imagination also results in moments of lucidity. “Making music as a political weapon is one of our main motivations”says Dana, highlighting 'Norm', which opens the album and was written for the scholar and activist Norman Finkelstein, defender of the Palestinian cause for a long time. “This album is a continuation of our policy, which has always been anti -capitalist and anti -imperialist.”
