At present, the only thing more common than a fighter who arrives at the free agents market is a former fighter, who for a long time was thought that he would never fight again, who leaves the retirement to fight both in the short and long term.
And that can be something that is happening again with a member of the WWE Hall of Fame that has been in TNA, GCW, MLW and AAA in recent months.
While talking about Tna Bound for Glory in the last program of “Wrestling Observer Radio“, Dave Meltzer reflected on JBL's future in Lucha Lucha, who interfered at the Bound For Glory star event between Joe Hendry and Nic Nemeth on Saturday night.
Although it has no firm information about the matter and what is expected for the coming months, Meltzer speculated that JBL's appearances in the aforementioned promotions are because the former WWE champion wants to leave the retirement and fight once again at his 57 years of age.
However, in why JBL would try to do that outside the WWE umbrella, Meltzer could only speculate once again, thinking that JBL could have more creative freedom with promotions such as TNA, MLW and AAA compared to WWE.
He also explained that promotions could be eager to use JBL to generate enthusiasm, and Meltzer said that AAA, in particular, was looking for anything that helped them generate impulse.
JBL has been appearing a lot in Mexico
Until now, AAA has been the promotion in which JBL has had more participation, appearing in Triplemania XXXII: Mexico City to form a new faction of rude with the megacampeón AAA Alberto el Patron, Konnan and Dorian Roldan.
Since then, JBL has assumed the role of the typical American rude in Mexico, while stating that he has invested in AAA to become part of the property ownership, something that has not fallen well to the Mexican fans who has seded the promotion for several decades.
