In the middle of the celebrations of its 30th anniversary, Sanshiro Takagi decided to discard its ephemeral brand MatchMake & Agent Pro Wrestling to create something that could break with the current restrictions of modern wrestling. He looked towards DDT's past, when the promotion was formed for the first time in 1997, one of the names suggested for her was Super Japan Pro Wrestlingname that chose for this project.

The Mexican Aero Boy had his second participation in a DDT event, this time surpassing Ryuma Tsukamoto in an individual special clash.
The launch of Super Japan gathered Mikami with Taka Michinoku. The two men met when Mikami was an universal apprentice and after Michinoku pro in the early 90s. Mikami took a staircase and tried to do the Volcanic Bomb from it, but failed. Then he tried to repeatedly immobilize Michinoku with the School Boy, but could not win. Instead, he was eliminated with the Michinoku Driver II.
SANshiro Takagi chose Yuji Nagata to be the brand's potential. His first idea for Nagata was to team up with The Brahman Brothers and adopt his professional wrestling style. Nagata refused at the beginning, but finally convinced him to try. Then he appeared to the main event with a full cosplay from Brahman. He got so much in the trick that ended up counting after only two minutes. Nagata bowed to the other fighters as an apology and the two teams agreed to restart the fight under the rules of Falls Count Anywhere.
The Brahmans completely ignored Nagata in the rematch, soaking it with water buckets along with the other team. Daiki Nagai was in the ringside as Nagata's second and he was also caught when the Brahmans threw a black ink bucket. Hikaru Sato, Fuminori Abe and Munenori Sawa gathered for Nagata to pour a blue ink bucket on top. Then he hit Sawa with a traffic signal and applied his registered mark Arm Bar while spitting blue drool for the mouth for victory. After the fight, Takagi caused the public to applause Nagata. But he would like to see the Royal Nagata more in the future; So Shinya Aoki. He asked Nagata if he would like to have an individual combat and Nagata accepted. This will happen in the second Super Japan on October 14.
