SAPP said that, since the member of the WWE Hall of Fame recently underwent knee surgery, it would be a “miracle” if he participated physically in some way in WrestleMania 41. He also indicated that there were no discussions about bringing back Cold Steve Austin even in a capacity not related to the fight in the premium event live in Las Vegas.
“If you mean fighting, no, that would be a miracle. He had a total knee replacement in December. Get out and throw some beers or something like? Maybe. But I haven't heard anything yet.”
It was rumored that Austin would appear in Wrestlemania XL. However, it did not appear at the event.

In August last year, The Texas Rattlesnake spoke about the possibility of appearing in The Show of Shows in Las Vegas. Austin said he hoped to be in the event and offered to give a hand to Cody Rhodes if he needed help.
“Anyway, it will be (Wrestlemania 41) in Las Vegas. I hope to be there this year (…) If he (Cody Rhodes) needs another hand, I will be there,” Austin said.
Stone Cold Steve Austin has not fought from Wrestlemania 38, where he defeated Kevin Owens at night one of the event. Considering how loved it is as an interpreter, there is no doubt that even an unsempted appearance in Wrestlemania 41 could generate a thunderous response of the crowd.
