Aaron Doornekamp will continue to wear the Tenife Laguna shirt at least one more season, after the parties have reached an agreement for their renewal for the 2025-2026 campaign.
The Canadian international has averaged 7.6 points in the last campaign, with 42.6% of success in triples; 4.1 rebounds and 1.4 assists for an assessment of 9.2 credits for meetings, its best note in the ACB since its first course in the category, in the 16-17 course.
Doornekamp accumulates six seasons as a canarist, distributed in two different stages (2016-2017 and 2020-2025), being a fundamental part in the recent successes of the Aurinegro team, both in the ACB League and in the FIBA Champions League.
Doornekamp is the historical leader in triples of the Aurinegro Club in the elite (407 hits from beyond 6.75), in addition to being the second player with the most Insular set in the highest category (214) and the third in the classification of rebounds of all time (839).
The Canadian player considers that “we can continue building about what we have done in recent years and I want to be part of it.”
“I think we are used to playing together, we know how to play and how to succeed,” he said in relation to the continuity of the aurinegro block.
“I love the island, I love playing here and my family is delighted with Tenerife,” added Doornekamp, who stressed that “the island is incredible, my children are basically Spanish and Canaries, so this is a very important part of our lives. This is our home,” he concluded.
