Oscar Piastri goes to the summer break as leader of the F1 World Cup classification after the Hungary GP dispute. Lando Norris took the victory in the famous Hungaroring layout after changing the strategy in the middle of the race. The British chose to go to a stop and the play came to a thousand wonders. With this result, Lando manages to cut seven points and go on vacation just nine of his teammate.
Fernando Alonso signed a great race and ended in the same position that began, fifth. The Asturian won a position at the exit by advancing Lando Norris. The British saw how Piastri closed the door when he reached the vertex and that made him lose positions with Russell and Alonso. About was the Aston Martin to also advance the Mercedes, but his friend resisted well and maintained third position.
This time Aston's strategy worked. Alonso went to a stop and endured very well for 39 laps. At first it seemed that Verstappen could be ahead, but in the end Red Bull decided to stop again because they did not reach the end and the Spanish won a position, thus recovering the fifth place. There the rest of the race stayed, just behind the two McLaren, Russell and Leclerc.
This allows Fernando to climb several positions in the classification of the F1 World Cup to go on vacation with the best sensations, after this fifth place in Hungary. He has achieved his best position of the year and equals the best position of the last two seasons.
