Mariah May's stay in AEW seems to be brief, since WWE seems to be in his future according to Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez in Wrestling Observer Radio.

Last month, it was reported that May was in his final year of contract with AEW and the former AEW women's world champion has been completely absent from television since the March Revolution, when he lost in his trilogy fight against the current champion Toni Storm.

After a May publication in his Instagram story this weekend, showing a plane window with an appointment that said, “you cannot make a wrong decision because every decision leads you where you should be,” the speculation increased on what this meant.

Meltzer said that, when talking to people in WWE, “they know that she wants to go there” and that the belief is that the 26 -year -old woman ends this summer. Alvarez mentioned that she had the impression that she initially signed a two -year contract with AEW and even within AEW, they feel that she goes to WWE.

After a season at Stardom, May made his debut on the screen in a November 2023 Dynamite edition and was immediately aligned with Storm. His alliance and eventual fief was one of the most prominent in the history of the company. May defeated Storm for the title in All In London in August 2023 and kept the title for 174 days before losing him to Storm in the Grand Slam Australia in February.
