Tony Khan and CM Punk have had a problematic employment relationship in AEW. Now, a new chapter is being written, since Khan and Punk are being sued by a known face.

Ryan Nemeth, brother of Nic Nemeth (also known as Dolph Ziggler), fought for WWE, All Elite Wrestling, Roh and Tna Wrestling. He worked for Khan's promotion since January 2021, months before Punk's return to professional wrestling, until November 2023. His problems behind the scene with CM Punk, whose real name is Phil Brooks, and Tony Khan are well documented.

Nemeth filed multiple complaints to All Elite Wrestling's officers about the harassment behind the scene by the current WWE star. It was also reported that Punk once confronted Ryan Nemeth in the backstage for the latter's publications, labeling Chicago's native as “the weakest man alive.” The confrontation ended with them shaking hands. Ryan received a liquidation offer from AEW's lawyers, which was later withdrawn.

According to Fightful, The Hollywood Hunk filed a lawsuit against All Elite Wrestling, Khan and Punk on February 14. The lawsuit, filed in the Superior Court of Los Angeles, alleges assault, breach of contract, breach of the implicit pact of good faith and fair treatment, and intentional interference with prospective advantage.

Nemeth's demand refers to Punk Backstage incident with The Young Bucks and his friends, and describes in depth the problems behind the scene between the parts. It includes a mention to Khan's reaction to the departure of The Second City Saint from AEW to WWE. Ryan accuses the defendants of trying to marginalize him from the industry.

“Khan was devastated by Brooks' game, his idol and someone whom he worshiped in every way. Khan was furious with Nemeth. Khan believes Brooks left Aew because of Nemeth. The defendants have undertaken a campaign to 'marginalize' Nemeth of the professional wrestling. Specifically, Tony Khan blames Nemeth for the exit of Broks AEW and has used his significant resources to ensure that Nemeth can never make a living in wrestling.

Nemeth, who is currently with TNA Wrestling, has demanded a jury trial and seeks compensatory and punitive damage.
