The veteran wrestling producer Bruce Prichard recently explained why a former Royal Rumble winner never won the WWE championship. Only four rumble male fighting winners have not raised a WWE World Championship in their careers.

These superstars are Jim Duggan, Big John Studd, Lex Luger and Shinsuke Nakamura . While Duggan, Studd and Luger have retired from the competition in the ring, The King of Strong Style still fights for WWE and eventually could win a world title in the promotion.

In a recent podcast episode Something To Wrestle Prichard explained why Luger, despite being pushed as a star event level, could not win the WWE championship during his time from the company from 1993 to 1995.

“Lex killed 'The Lex Express'. Lex killed Lex. They don't mistake,” said Prichard. “Lex's attitude and everything else from Lex is what ended up killing Lex Luger, and why he did not win the championship, and why he was not chosen to be the man indicated at that time.”

Lex Luger won the 1994 Royal Royal together with Bret Hart When both jumped over the upper rope and were declared co-feators. They obtained an opportunity to win the WWE championship in Wrestlemania 10, but Luger was disqualified against Yokozuna.

Lex Luger is open to be included in the WWE Hall of Fame

While his career was mainly developed in the WCW, Lex Luger had a great impact on the industry and is considered a wrestling legend. Luger is open to being honored with an induction to the Hall of Fame and prefers Sting as his inductor . In an exclusive interview with Sportskeeda Wrestling, Lex said:

“Well, obviously, Stinger would be a great choice. He is the first one that comes to mind, no doubt.”

Luger's sports career began as a football player between 1979 and 1985. He made his wrestling debut on October 31, 1985 for Championship Wrestling from Florida. He began to talk at the National Wrestling Alliance before signing for Jim Crockett Promotions, which would later become WCW.

The Buffalo Native, New York, became a member of the Four Horsemen and later won the WCW United States Championship. He even became the worldwide promotion world champion and later signed with WWE in 1993.

However, Luger's career in the company based in Stamford lasted little and returned to the WCW in 1995.
