

Many fighters return to WWE several years after receiving their release. In a recent interview, Matt Riddle revealed that he was open to returning to the company almost 18 months after being fired.
Riddle fought for WWE between October 2018 and September 2023. The 39 -year -old fighter won the United States championship once and the RAW couples championship twice with Randy Orton. He also held the title in NXT couples with Pete Dunne.
In Stories with Brisco and BradshawRiddle said that he never wanted to leave his former employers first, and that he would love to return to the headquarters in Stamford:
“I mean, I would love to return to WWE one day, eventually, maybe soon. The thing is, when they want, you know? It does not depend on me. It is your decision. If it depended on me, I would be there since yesterday. I would never have gone, you know? But it depends on them. That is their decision making, and I respect any decision they make, you know?” (1:17:18 – 1:17:39)
Riddle's most recent fight in WWE It took place in the episode of September 4, 2023 of RAW. He associated with Drew McIntyre in a losing effort against Erik and Ivar.

On January 11, Matt Riddle defeated Satoshi Kojima to win the MLW World Heavyweight Championship. He has also fought for AAA, NJPW, TNA and several other promotions during the last year.
Looking ahead, Riddle plans to stay busy winning more titles in wrestling events around the world:
“Until then, I will win all possible championships. I will fight everywhere under the sun in each country. I know that I will be in Australia, Europe. I know that only in the coming months I will probably go to like eight different countries, fight in like 20, 30 different places, and do my thing.” (1:17:39 – 1:17:57)
