A former WWE champion has confirmed that his days as a fighter have ended and that he will not reverse his retirement decision. Kurt Angle recently made clear his future in the ring.

The Olympic gold medalist has maintained his retirement from Wrestlemania 35, where he fought against Baron Corbin in his last appearance. Kurt Angle has often said that John Cena was his final opponent.

Now that the Cenation leader is about to finish his career in WWE, some fans have mentioned the name of Angle as one of the possible opponents for his imminent farewell tour.

Speaking in Insight with Chris Van VlietKurt Angle ruled out the possibility of facing John Cena by saying that he can no longer fight.

“No, I can't fight,” said Angle.

The 56 -year -old WWE hall member added:

“In fact, do you know what I did? I fought about two months ago. I made a commercial for CBS, and it was for the previous NFL program for the Ravens and the Steelers. So, a gentleman named Kyle Brandt, who is a sports commentator of CBS, pretended to be from the Ravens and I pretended to be from the Steelers. We had a professional wrestling combat and I was receiving professional wrestling blows, ”he added. (31:55 – 32:23)

Kurt Angle has put his body at risk for almost two decades. The injuries he suffered throughout his career had a great impact on his mental and physical health.

The Olympic gold medalist recently spoke about whether he still had neck problems.

“When they made me a magnetic resonance of the neck, they discovered that I was merged naturally. Therefore, I have no records between my neck. Everything I have is vertebrae. It's all bone. Therefore, they merged and now my neck is where it is. There is nothing I can do about it. Therefore, I have to deal with pain and move on with my life.”
