A WWE star is dealing with an injury before WrestleMania 41 and this could cancel its fight within the event.
Pwnexus reported Friday that Owens has an unleashed injurywhich questions his participation in Wrestlemania. A fight between Owens and Randy Orton for Wrestlemania is scheduled. Until now, WWE has not made any announcement regarding the state of Owens's injury or if his fight against Orton will continue.
Dave Meltzer has confirmed that Owens's injury is significant. The exact nature of the injury has not yet been confirmed.
Owens has not had a fight since he faced Sami Zayn in a meeting not sanctioned in Elimination Chamber in March, but has made SmackDown appearances since then, moving forward in the preparation for Wrestlemania.
After Kevin Owens defeated Zayn in that fight not sanctioned, there was an angle in which Orton – looking for revenge after being taken from action by an Owens Piledriver last November – made his return. Orton has promised to kill Owens as a way to take revenge on that Piledriver.
Wrestlemania is almost two weeks away, with Las Vegas ready to house the two -night event on Saturday, April 19 and Sunday, April 20. We will see if WWE addresses the state of Owens in the SmackDown tonight.
